Hi! It has often been said that the Sportsroof (fastback) 69/70 Mustang had such a perfect roof that many a customizer attempting to "chop it" ended-up with no so convincing results. Armed with this knowledge, I decided to alter the car, but to get the roof chopped lengtwise, instead of vertically. I started with a rare Long Nose Mustang Funny Car body (AMT 1969), a gluebomb that I cleaned-up, and grafted the cowl, windshield, and front roof section of an AMT 69 Mach One, joined with the actual rear roof section of the FC body. It provided me with a long wheelbase, and I scribed door lines, hood and trunk lines, to make it a street car. The interior features Revell's Corvette Indy seats, a 58 TBird dash, Enzo ferrari rolling stock and scratchbuilt door panels, console, shifter, brake levers, seat belts, pedals, column with flasher, rear platform, speakers, various accessories in the cargo bay, etc. Custom Cognac candy, Molotow's chrome accents. A fun curbside to experiment with a styling idea! Hours of fun with styrene! CT

Hi! Had a few copies of the Foose F100 leftover parts, so why not try to create something different? Take two cabs, join them at the rear door cut line, stretch the roof and transform the hood of the rear unit into a trunk lid, with a covered bed to carry stuff in style. Throw in a custom take on the grille and headlights + tail lights. The frame was lenghtened to fit the new wheelbase, and the second bench seat was used for the rear unit. The tailgate and rear box were scratchbuilt, as are the mirrors, runninboard, distributor, rear tie rods, disc brakes and trailer hitch. Tamya's bright orange was covered with clear red and clear pearl + Mr. Hobby Top coat clear, fully polished. Molotow's and Revell spray chrome accents. My local model club has a theme at this coming fall show that requires "odd creations". Might qualify... Hours of fun with styrene! CT

Hi! Long before Tom Thaylor, Steve Stanford and Chip Foose became household names, the great Harry Bradley was creating buzz in the automotive press with many innovative designs. In a spring of 1970 issue of CarLife magazine, he posited that the crop of Pony Cars could be transformed into sport wagons, at low cost for GM, Ford, AMC and Chrysler. I kept the article, titled "The wagon as a GT", and it inspired my concept. Based on a Revell T/A Challenger, with a second roof added to create a Kammback design, with a rear hatch instead of a trunk. The man of action, into, let's say Scuba diving, would take advantage of the rear platform extra cargo capacity to carry around the diving kit from Monogram's Blue Bandito. Rolling stock from Revell's Foose 67 Charger, seats from Uptown Caddy, and scratchbuilt rear interior section, side windows, and custom 8-stack injection and air intake unit: it's a factory concept car after all! Tamya's Champagne Gold + MrHobby Top Coat clear, Smartcraft Fog grey acrylic interior, Revell's spray chrome accents. So, Mister Bradley was right: minimum tooling costs involved, and Vive la difference! Hours of fun with styrene CT
