This is the 3rd 40 Ford truck I am working on. Since I was working on the engine for the Rat Rod, I figured I'd put these together as well. They are flathead engines from a 48 Merc. This kit is worth it just for the engine, actually. Not too detailed but nothing alittle after market parts cant fix. Still needs some more details but its whee I left off tonight.

Thanks Carl and Dan. Not sure which one of these I will use but I did get some painting done. We've hit the high 70s so the weather is perfect in the evenings for paint. Even though this is the third one of these, it'll be the first one I finish. I'm using it to get familiar with the kit for the gold one and the rat rod versions.

Going with a two tone. I was torn between doing this one a full on farm truck with rust and dents and animals or doing a show truck. So I'm going to try and do something in between....whatever that is. Lol. Black and green is what I'm going with. Here are some pics of where it's at.

I love the fact that it has an utilitarian look with the matt color but still has a high end paint and build quality. Rat rods are too trendy.

Great job!
