cobraman Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 AC Bristol ceased building their 6 cyl engine in 1961. AC owner Charles Hurlock was contacted by Caroll Shelby to use the Ford V8 in the Ace chassis producing the AC Cobra. The production of the Ace ended that same year.
