just-bill Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Going to start a custom Revell Pete 359. Thinking of chroming the body and frame and either matte black or matte charcoal on most of the chrome. Stacks, tanks, air cleaners, parts of the grille and wheels, etc.
72 Charger Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 It would be different . Different is good Good luck with it

Superpeterbilt Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Edgecomb Steel ran a fleet of custom Stainless bodied Autocars in the 50s. The drivers were required to keep them polished. Ive heard that they were an impressive sight.
Mackvision Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Terry,a good friend of mine in NJ actually owns a former Edgecomb Steel A-Car,here it is pictured at an ATHS truck show circa 2000...........................................Mark
gatorincebu Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Very interesting. Stainless won't rust that is for sure, and if you keep it polished it looks great. Don't know that I would want to try to duplicate it on a model though. I will be following this thread for sure. Be Well Gator
