Spread Axle Flatbed Toolbox Dimensions.

So the toolbox that fits between the spread axles on the flatbed, about what would the dimensions be?

I'm doing my flatbed trailer as a Spread Axle, and I want the toolboxes. I'm just eyeballing it, but so far I have about a scale 24 inches wide by 18 tall and 18 deep. I can't scratch a square box to save my life so I'm doing it in 3D intended for printing.

I may put it up to be printable, not sure yet. I finally found a bit of modeling software that works close enough to the way I want it to work that I can actually start designing some stuff. So some simple stuff might be popping up who knows.

An alternative might be ? To uise the tool box in the Italeri part pack. You could build it then cut it to the depth you need. And all you would need after that is to put a back on it and possibly scratch build some mounting brackets.

The spread on a standard trailer is 10' 6". I have a set of boxes from P&P. I'll measure them when I get home from work, if work don't decide to send me out of town early again. They are closer to 48" long. If they are 24" long, your probably lookin at a Canadian spread.

If the spread is that far maybe I keep looking at Canadian flatbeds.

The standard spread is 10'-6" in the US from center of axle to center of axle. This means only 7' from the rear of the front tire to the front of the back tire. Most tool boxes between axles are around 5' to 6' long give or take.

We use 24" x 24" x 60" boxes on our flats

Well that's going to fly, I got it all dimensioned up and everything and it's 75 bucks to print hollow. NO WAY! I wouldn't be able to sell them at even HALF that cost.
