We have a local outfit called Goodies Truck Parts, they sell bits and pieces all over the world. I was told this is what was done with all the parts. I would see truckload after truckload of parts leave that place. It is easier to sell parts to people in other Countries than the whole thing. Back in the 70'S for advertising they put a truck cab in a country bar for the DJ booth.
