That is I don't know how to tell one tire apart from another. I hear builders saying 15 inch or 16 inch, and tire sizes such as 215/55 R17. 215/55 R17 . This is really Greek to me. I mean on 1:1 tires, I understand, but on model tires I don't get it. I appreciate any help I can get. Once Modelhaus reopens, I need to know the tire sizes, because Modelhaus has such a wide variety to choose from. Edited April 24, 2015 by snacktruck67
ZTony8 Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 It's supposed to represent the real tire size.Sometimes the measurements coincide with reality when scaled up,somtimes they don't.You have to measure the tires/rims and convert the numbers to full size.

Longbox55 Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Most of what Modelhaus has is more geared towards late '60s and earlier, and have a completely different dimension system from todays tires. In that case, referencing a site like Coker Tire https://www.cokertire.com/ might be better, as they list the dimensions of vintage tires.
