Dragline Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Got two of these a couple of weeks back and the decal for the decklid is now included. As soon as I finish my Cushman Duster I'm going to tackle a fairly detailed build right here.
Bob Ellis Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Now we know why the MPC 1970-1974 Challenger will never come back.
Nova-ss Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 .bas. ..totally agree .most true model car people find fault somewhere in most kits.....the catch is to forget it, fix it if possible, but better yet, enjoy the fact you have it at all.......I find the older I get, the less faults I look for in kits......I save that fault energy for people...lol...the ace.... absolutely...totally agree
gtx6970 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Would be better if the whole kit was molded in white. The thing with these old funny car kits. I bet more than 3/4's of the racers back then the chassis was black. This is one example I have no problem with most of the parts molded in black ( that's how the original issue was ). The important parts ( the body and interior tins ) are molded in white. I'm SO glad to have this one back on the shelf ,,,especially now that it has the decals to do the decklid . I already have quite a few of the MK issues, and plan to get maybe a case of these here soon .
Nova-ss Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 how accurate is this kit to the real funny car?....Chris
gtx6970 Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) how accurate is this kit to the real funny car?....Chris Simple answer, Its not . Body is all wrong to the actual car, especially the roof line . The windshield was raked back pretty good compared to stock,,,as well as the leading edge of the roof was a good bit lower than stock. I think the chassis is reasonably accurate to the 1/1 ,,but probably not 100% dead on Edited April 6, 2016 by gtx6970
Bob Ellis Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 This is where the annual 1972-1974Challenger disappeared to
