1980 Buick Regal kit, need a recommendation

My cousin had a 1980 Regal, beautiful car, and I would like to model it. I am thinking maybe a NASCAR kit. Of course it doesn't have to be a 1980, just one with a similar body style. Also, I'm not exactly sure how to find kits on ebay. I guess go to 'scale model car kits" and then search for this Buick kit. However, if anyone on this forum has a good one to 'trade for', that would be great, I will get it from you. Thanks.

look for the grand national buick kit.

Monogram made 1/24 kits of the mid Eighties GN and GNX back in the day, but they are surprisingly rare today.

Search for "Monogram Buick GN" and "Monogram Buick GNX" on Ebay, not for "Buick Regal".

Yep, the GNX kit will work for you if you don't mind being the exact bodystyle. Unfortunately, 78-80 is a different bodystyle from the 81-87 regal. You can use the NASCAR kit, but I can't remember if they made a 78-80 model kit. Good luck none the less, if it doesn't bother you being slightly different then for sure go with the grand national kit.
