Brendan Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 (edited) This is a Scale Designs resin kit of the Greenwood Corvette Spirit of Le Mans '76. Kit was a very good kit. Easy to build. Took me about 3 weeks to do. Paints used were Tamiya's TS-26 and TS-15 decanted and airbrushed. Decals were very easy to put on...a nice surprise. I was expecting it to be a little harder, especially in the back. The only hangup I had was that my kit did not have the windows for it. They were easy to make with a sheet of acetate. I would recommend this kit to anyone interested in this type of car. Feel free to comment. Be as brutal as you like. Hope this is up to Ismael's approval. Edited February 27, 2008 by Brendan
Raul_Perez Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Hey Brendan, where did that one come from? Yep, another very cool looking ride!!
ismaelg Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 WOW! I'm speechless. It's a real honor to have you mention me on one of your builds. As you know, you are one of my favorite race car modelers! That's a mean looking car. Just looking at it, I feel the rumble of it's unrestricted exhaust... Those cars carried the torch thru some dark times. Approve? I love it! Not only it looks great, but 3 weeks? It usually takes me that long between color coats Well, thinking about it, no, I don't think it's right. I'll tell you what: Send it to me and I'll take a closer look and will let you know By the way, I think you mean '76, not '67 Thanks,
Nick F40 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Be as brutal as you like. Ok, it sucks. No, highly kidding. This is probably my favorite racing Vette. This turned out great. Ismael, it's not blue though.

Breathing in the paint fumes too much. Time to get new filters for my respirator. Thanks for the comments.
Robert81 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 WOW!!! I love a fat bottom girl. I have to say this one is uuuggglllyyy, but it was the 70s. You did a great job on this one.
Brendan Posted February 28, 2008 Author Posted February 28, 2008 Hey Brendan, where did that one come from? Yep, another very cool looking ride!! This was the other kit that I was working on along side the Peugeot. Took me so long to get the black paint, I had time to build this car.

Tonioseven Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 I remember having dreams about driving that car when I was a boy!! AWESOME job on one of the main cars that got me into this hobby!!
RatRod Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Very nice Brendan!! I have built a lot of these in 1/43. I will have to try to find one in this scale.
Brendan Posted March 3, 2008 Author Posted March 3, 2008 Thanks for the comments. Kit made it to the NNL West and made it back safely. I had some issues with some of my other cars on the way back home. My carrying case fell. But they were easy fixes.
IMSANUT Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Very nice. Here's to hoping my restoration to an old plastic version comes out near as close to this!
cobraman Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Beautiful job on that car. Is that brutal enough for you ? : )
