1930fordpickup Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I have an acetate-sheet record of the moon landing I found in a free box stack of old NatGeos. I never dared play it, but it's clean. If you ever play that make sure you record it when you do. That way you can listen to it over and over on the computer.
Southern Fried Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I still have my Shelby record from the 68 GT 500 kit, and enjoyed playing it at 45 rpm's to make the cars sound faster when I was a kid. It still plays well after the abuse.I had this one. Is it the one where you hear the gear changes?
Shardik Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I had a model of the Apollo command module that came with a reel to reel tape recording of the mission communications. Luckily my father worked for Ampex at the time (late 60's), so we had the equipment to play it.
jbwelda Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 now that tape, that's really something! came with the Apollo kit? wild! my family always had reel to reel decks so we could have played it back too. jb
