  1. Thanks. It didn't turn out as the idea I had when I started. Hit a"snag" with the BMF. Used Satin Aluminum but it was too shiney. After 3 coats of Flat, it still was not the "oxidized" look I was after. All a 4th coat would have done was just add more buildup and a loss of detail LOL The "missing " door handle was something I had done before, but wasn't planned for this build. It came about because I broke 2 passenger handles ( had extra chrome tree...but thats another story) trying to get them off the sprue!
  2. Pretty much "out of the box". No problems yet.
  3. Need some decals. Went to the site, found the decals I need, but the last post...was 15 years ago...
  4. Nice direction. Like you, I've had this kit several times, but never built it. The billet was my turn-off.
  5. Why build an air compressor when there are many readily available for you application at reasonable prices out there?
  6. I use a Bluehawk 2.g air compressor , with my Paasche VL. It has 6 feet of line. I can usually set it @ 30, and control it at the brush. I do have to adjust lower sometimes if I am doing shading.
  7. Lookin' good. That's a great kit to jump back into building. There's a few "bumps"...but your on the right track.

  9. That's a very nice build. I bought this kit when it first came out, for "parts". I wanted the American 5 spoke Mags, slicks, and "Wedge" engine for other projects. I bought the 2nd kit to build stock. Your's is an inspiration. Thanks for the Share!
  10. Some "Clears" are very "Hot". You have to let the base coat "set" for a few days. And, as others have said...humidity has a play. Don't try to sand fresh paint...let it alone...
