Very nice, Lance. I never picked up any of the altered wheel base cars, may have put one on my list.

What is the brick back drop. That's one thing I want to build.

Tom, I built the backdrop for taking pics, quite awhile ago. There were two walls when I built it,(corner L-shaped) but the foam board, warped severely over time, and the sheet brick was popping off. I bought the sheet brick from Hobby Lobby in the dollhouse section. It seemed to be the proper scale for 1/18. I used brush on rubber cement to glue the brick on. I cut out the openings for the door and windows, scratch built frames for both from plastruct shapes, then added clear acetate for the glass. I hope to someday rebuild it from a better material.

Cheers,

Lance

Thanks, Nick!

Hey Nick, I remember those! I had a set on my 58 Chevy Delray, with a transplanted 409, back in 1968. I loved that car!

Here are a few more pics. The 51 Merc has been modified.

Cheers,

Lance

Very nice, Lance. I like them all,LOL.

I just ordered four additional glass shelves for my cabinets so I'll have sixteen more feet of display B)

Cool Tom, I did that with my 1st generation Camaro display cabinet, I added 3 more glass shelves. I'll post pics later of that one. Have you gathered any material yet for your background diorama?

Cheers,

Lance

Very nice collection. Your name looks familiar, did you ever attend the Hillside show Put on by Tom Lima? Who made the the altered WB cars. I'm familiar with a Plymouth but wasn't aware of any others.

About your display. I found foam board with a styrene face both sides. Contact Foamboardsource and check it out. It may be sturdier

Thanks, Brian

Thanks Mike, yes, Tom was a very good friend, and I attended every Hillside show with him. Sorry, your name is not ringing any bells

The 65 Dodge Coronet AWB was made by Supercars. www.supercar1.com/ They still have some for sale on the site, last time I checked.

Thanks for the info on the foam board, but mine has the coating also. Happy fourth!

Cheers,

Lance
