I Am absolutely new to builds!

I'm an avid 1/24 scale collector however have never ventured into builds. Something keeps telling me I should :)

The builds on these forums are beyond extraordinary.

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum. Think you'll like putting something you built .. and to your own specifications .. up on shelf next to those mass produced models. There IS a diecast section here too.

Thank You - The more i read the builds section ... the lesser I want to buy die casts and build my own :) ... The builds here are far superior to any diecasts I own ... Cheers!

Welcome, Darius.

You'll have give us the lowdown on kit buying in India.

Are the Japanese Kits (Aoshima, Tamiya & Hasegawa) readily available> Are the Cheaper?

Be nice to hear, how you access kits.

Thanks Alan for the warm welcome. Well to be honest ... this hobby both diecast models and kit building is not very big like it is in the states ... So most of the stuff we get online ... and its a lot more expensive that way since we pay for international shipping and custom taxes as well ...

the big diecast folks are the usual suspects - Maisto, Bburago and Welly ... Although some more autoart and minichamps are coming in frequently nowadays.

Aoshima, Tamiya, Hasegawa, Airfix, Revell, AMT are a rare find ... and whatever is purchased is usually from overseas travel or online orders ... normally a 3 week wait :)

Thanks, for the quik reply.

That is about what I had guessed would be the case.

Sounds like a trip to the LHS (Local Hobby Shop) is not somwthing you get to do.
