BigTallDad Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I sometimes use larger handles etc. for other woodworking functions, and needed a place to store them This time I used an old wooden cigar box. There is a space near the hinge for razor saw blades (more visible with the tray removed) as well as a lift-out tray. Bizarre blades are held in place on the lid via strip magnets.
slusher Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Man thats cool. I like that. What did the box use to be for...?
bobthehobbyguy Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Great idea. Several of the cigar stores I go to sell the good wooden cigar boxes for about $5.

BirdWatcher Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Great tip! They'll probably be less likely to oxidize too!
gobobbie Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 I just checked our local cigar bar. The owner had them for sale. Two dollars a piece or five or more $1. My truck smelled like an ashtray so I have sprayed ozium on them hoping to neutralize the smell. Bob Gregory Ruining one kit at a time
BirdWatcher Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 They have larger boxes, sometimes they sell for 5 bucks or so. I've scored a few bigger boxes as well as display boxes too.
