No review but Hobby Search has pictures of all the parts and the instuctions.(its much cheaper to import it from Japan too)

Looks like a very nice full detail model...hard to go wrong with a Tamiya kit...

The S600 is a very nice looking kit, and Tamiya has made the appropriate revisions. One nice feature, not mentioned on the instructions, is the inclusion of the raised soft top, in additon to the hardtop and the boot.

Thanks , one and all , for your input , critiques , and opinions :) .

There's just some-thing about those nifty little Japanese roadsters from the early-mid 60's that really strikes me . I wanted to build some-thing outside of my normal North American cars / pickups / vans subjects , and this kit looks like it'd fill that 'void' perfectly !

Looking forward to more replies . opinions , buildups , etc. ...

I remember seeing these running around when I was In Okinawa in the Navy circa 1970  I remember the engines weren't much more than a motorcycle motor. :D With lots of carbs. :Phondawhites600road4b.jpg

I should have the kit tomorrow

I got my Toyota today..took longer to leave Japan than usual and longer to get from SFO too. But it's very nice!

Picked one up the other day and I'm temped to either go bone stock OR make a canyon carving rat like the one Leno featured. Sadly I don't know of a superbike engine in scale but I'm more than positive a rotary would fit in there. Either that or a modern four banger with a small turbo would do.

If you want to go a bit more old school for superbikes, MPC had a Honda CB750 chopper in their old Monte Carlo kits. Not as exciting as a new suberbike engine, but probably a bit more racy looking than stock.
