jbwelda Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 If you lived around here, and it was grape harvest time, you could just leave it out overnight and then dullcoat it in the morning...it would be plenty dusty. jb
ZTony8 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Tamiya has several weathering sets available with different effects from the different sets .
russosborne Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 My first thought was the same as Bill's. Around here keeping them dust free is the hard part. The Tamiya suggestion is good. Also check out some military modeling sites/magazines. Those guys are experts at weathering kits. For some reason they LIKE having their models looking used and abused. Russ
LoneWolf15 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Art supply store will carry chalk sets . Cannot be beat for weathering effect .....
Snake45 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Do you have an airbrush? If so, get some Testor Dullcote. Put a slight amount--will only take a few drops--of a flat tan into a small bottle of Dullcote. Thin this mix, and then dust it on till you get it where you like the look. Heavy on the under/lower sides, lighter on top, whatever you like. When you think you have ALMOST where you want it, stop. A little too little looks better than a little too much.
