Clear Windows

I'm hopefully planning to do my first chop "ever"... I am building the '55 Jukebox Ford Pro Mod. I know that I want to make the care a little wider and possibly longer - but wider for sure. My question is: what to do about the front and rear glass?

I though of just cutting it and then using I-beams as filler to simulate saftey straps but not so sure how that would look in the end.

 

Any help and/or guideance would be greatly appreciated

Lotsa guys use the clear or tinted plastic from big pop bottles. Other guys use clear or tinted plastic report covers, styrene from the hobby shop (if you have one around) or clear or tinted acetate.

I haven't done a finished big clear part yet, but the green from a ginger ale bottle worked great for this...

Ace: you are truely a lifesaver... for a while I was thinking that I was gonna have to abandon my plan.

The vacu-forming thing has really got my interest peaked. I feel its a lot to try for a firsttime making any such modifications to a kit - but, I guess I'll never know if I don't at least give it a shot.
