Fabrux Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Now this is how I've been wanting to build my Lonestar from the start, but could never find any pictures of such a configuration. Now I can get back on it!
ranma Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 (edited) Sorry but International Havester don't produce trucks under that name since 1985! It became Navistar, and now is knowen as Navistar International. The harvester name and logo are used by Case IH. Also Most Navistar trucks are special ordered in one way or another. More than likely the Lonestar pictured above was a special ordered truck. Edited August 18, 2015 by ranma
Mike T. Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 From what I found on Truck Paper .com there will be 10 of these built this year.I have started a conversion of the kit that I have.Only thing I have to figure out is the front portion of the roof over the cab. everything else is fairly easy.To build a completely accurate version would need the Cummins ISX engine which I don,t have yet

Stretched out with a spread axle Moebius reefer is what I'm thinking

High octane Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 IH now offering Lonestar with single bunk. Looks like an easy conversion.
Mike T. Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I,ve got the front of the roof figured out now. Will build the sleeper roof from scratch. I used the original roof cut way down for the piece over the cab.I,m watching the local dealer to see if they get one in stock.
