Testors Ultra Gloss Clearcoat over ALPS printed decals?

I'll be using Testors Custom Lacquer System Ultra Gloss Clearcoat and would like to spray it over decals.  I'll most likely decant the clear and use an airbrush so I can apply it in thinner coats.  I also understand that Testors Ultra Gloss Clearcoat isn't quiet as hot as some of clear lacquers like Tamiya TS-13.

Can the Testors Ultra Gloss Clearcoat be sprayed over ALPS printed decals?

If I coat the ALPS printed decals with Microscale's Liquid Decal film will this protect the ink?  

I know Testors gloss lacquer can be applied over ALPS decals when they are still on the paper but am wondering if there is any difference when the decals are applied on the model(car).

I think you can spray Testors clear lacquer over most anything.

I've sprayed it over enamel, acrylic & yes decals.

I've never had an issue with it, but I don't use a lot of decals, so further opinions may be warranted.
