The Creative Explorer Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Not something I'd be normally doing, but I have to sell some kits unfortunately. One of them is the MPC Rolling Thunder, what can I expect for this kit? I see ridiculous prices on eBay and don't think they are anything close to realistic.I do understand the model isn't very common, but I hate the term 'rare'. So, it isn't rare.... ;-)I am not trying to push the most possible out of it, just figuring out what a fair price would be.
oldnslow Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Just start with the minimum you'll accept for it and let it go from there. Timing is also important, set sale to end Saturday or Sunday night to get the best prices.
The Creative Explorer Posted September 5, 2015 Author Posted September 5, 2015 Robert, I'm not planning for eBay, don't want it to be on an auction either. I'll put it on some sort of Craigslist. More interested to sell it to a fellow modeller for a reasonable price. But that is also the problem, I have no clue what would be a reasonable price for both seller and buyer.
Daddyfink Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Yeah, ebay prices by those set sellers are pretty ridiculous. Think of how much you bought it for and how much you would pay for it now. It may not be too rare in the states, but, it can't be that common in the Netherlands, right? Go with you gut feeling on this one.
Quick GMC Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Ebay is actually a fairly reliable way to judge going prices, you just have to look at the prices of items that actually sold, not just the listings.
stavanzer Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 I tried to PM you with an offer, could you please try to PM me? Thanks, Alan
