I've been doing a little research on engines for my Dodge CNT 900. Initially I was leaning towards curbside because of the thickness of the cab and the complexity of the hood. But IF I put an engine inthere, it looks like they had either a NH 250 or a 8V-71. What is the difference between a NH250 and an NHC250?. Are any of them repopped in resin?

From what I understand, the "H" designates a 4 valve head, and the "C" designates custom. As for the physical differences, I'm not sure. I believe that the AMT Freightliner kit has the NHC 250. You could probably pick that whole kit up as cheap as you can buy a resin engine. Some of the short hood trucks tilted the Cummins, leaning the engine toward the passenger side, but I'm not sure about the Dodge. Most of the Dodges that I've seen had Detroits. You may also find some help on Hank's Truck Forum, there are a lot of knowledgeable guys over there. Hope this helps.  Brian

Pat,

maybe you try this website: www.OldDodges.com

I think chances are high you get lots of info about Dodge trucks.

In case of specific questions you can also send an e-mail to Kyle Youngblood.

Cheers,

Juergen
