Casey Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 No market potential due to lack of customer interest. Go get yer scratchbuilding box and make some shiny Samsonite. If the builder is looking for something very specific then this won't be of much help, but there have been many accessories include with kits over the years, many of which can be found by via an ad in the Wanted section here on the forum, or by combing ebay listings. I picked up the JO-HAN Cadillac Eldorado ski racks, skis, and poles that way: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/54715-lets-see-your-geegaws/?page=1
Harry P. Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 No scale luggage available commercially? No problem. You know what to do... make your own! These were all scratchbuilt, some of wood, some of styrene covered with vinyl material lhat looks like leather. Scratchbuilding luggage is a lot of fun, and not too hard to do.
khier Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 Check this out...http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1142044This is really a beautiful set of luggage.
oldcarfan Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 The good thing about luggage is that it is easy to scratchbuild. Even a fumblefingers like me can do it. i have used a piece of balsa or bass wood of the right thickness and cut it to shape and covered it with contact paper, with a little detailing, it came out okay. Some of the Tamiya 1/35 accessory packs for military figures will have duffle bags and such that can be used as well. Also Hobbylinc has this, though it shows out of stock, you might search by stock # and find some. http://www.hobbylinc.com/preiser-assorted-luggage-model-railroad-building-accessory-g-scale-45218
