FORDSVTPARTS Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 First the '65 Riviera, This is the oldest build in my case at about 16-17 years old. It's the Barris '65 body with an old prostreet T-bird chassis (same chassis used for the '69 Riv). Running an injected Nailhead from the Ivo four engine dragster. The '69 Riviera which in my opinion may be the nastiest looking car I've ever seen, This thing is just plain mean. The 430 big block came with the kit and the blower is from the "Heavy Chevy" Chevelle kit.
FORDSVTPARTS Posted March 12, 2008 Author Posted March 12, 2008 And I thought my old 1/1 '69 Riv was hard on gas !! ,,, Pretty cool. No kidding, Over the years I owned 2 '63 Rivs, 1 '68 and 3 '69's. The best was a black '69 with a cammed 430, built th400 and 3.42 posi with L60-15's out back. That car would hook off the line but when you hit 2nd at WOT it would light the tires and start sliding sideways for about 40 feet, Two 16 inch wide stripes of rubber was pretty impressive in a car that size. I still miss that car.

jeffb Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 my very first car was a 69 riv. want stupid car for a stupid 16 yr old to have, but man was it a blast! it killed me to put gas in it, and that was when 106 octane was .45 cents a gallon!
Joe Handley Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Lemme get Dad, my grandparents had a '63 that he worked over mechanically and my great uncle did the bodywork on. From what I've been told, it was a real stoplight terror
