72 Charger Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 HI all I have just got some Model trucking decals . My question is do I have to seal them with a clear of some sort?. As I cant see any carrier film on the sheetThe sheet I have is the Bruhn Trucking KW from the film Convoy . Has anyone used this sheet before ?Any info would greatly received as I am waiting to use themThanks
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I like to clear over my decals, but the last ones that I got from modeltrucking.com bled when I cleared them. That is not to say that anything was wrong with the decals, it could have been my clear. My new policy is that I try to get 2 sets or at least pick out something from the sheet that may not be used and test first to see if there is going to be a bleed problem. If there is a problem, then I would avoid the clear, and if not, go ahead and clear. It is real discouraging to think that you are on the home stretch and a mishap like the color leaving your decals occurs. Maybe other don't have this problem, but I prefer to be safe (if I can) than sorry. Hope this helps...Brian
72 Charger Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 Thanks Brian /John . Brian I think I will try doing the test piece first as you suggest . Wish me luck
