For all of you guys who were amused by the Ferrari Daytona pic I posted back on page 6 or so here is the story. That car belonged to Chuck Jordan, now retired VP of styling at GM. He was vacationing in Europe and the guys at Pininfarina stored the car for him while he took a side trip. While in storage the guys played a little joke on Chuck and restyled it with paper and foil. Apparently he was not amused!

Of course they were built in South bend Indiana.... except for the final 2 years when they were assembled in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada with small block Chev engines. They moved production there in 64. Look it up.

Like I said, I was pretty sure, but from what I am reading on Wikipedia,(anyone knows how true this stuff is) that there was a factory in canada in 1948. then it stopped production in 1966. it does not say anything about the factory in south bend closing though i may have missed it cause it is late and I am tired. Not trying to start anything, I just wasnt sure. So good on you for the catch. Studebakers were the first gas powered car though.
