samdiego Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) Isn't that either an Alpha or a McBernie Coachcraft kit? A front clip replaces the Z front end and the rest bonds to the existing. The one real departure is the remaining hatch. I love those, a small block Chevy would really make it interesting. I remember reading about those in Kit Car mag about '90 or so. I've seen 1 Mcbernie here in San Diego completed and 1 Alpha in Tucson that I doubt ever got finished. This was my grandparents car, that's my Dad standing up on the passenger side. Waddya think it is? Edited April 30, 2008 by samdiego
RodBurNeR Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 AW WHAT THA HELL! Didnt even take you a full hour! BTW, it might as well be a -61, its really the same car. This one?? 1958 or 1959 Taunus 15M Luxury sedan?

dub Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I'm not sold on the VR6. That car could be a diesel and no one would be the wiser. Besides, someone other than the factory would have to put that six in there anyway.

I really didn't have much fun working on those as much as the old Hudson's, chevelle's, dart's.....you name it. Boss never said what it was, just said what he needed me to do....i am the one that didn't feel right working on it unless i knew what year, make and model etc...so i would go home and tell the wife what i worked on that day...just tends to stick with ya! I ADMIT....there is a ton of newer cars on the street that i have to look for a script to recognize what it is.....they are really looking the same these days. that one looks like a 91 VW Golf mkII GTi and 16valves inline 4cylinder Edited April 30, 2008 by awbcrazy
Modelmartin Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 (edited) This was my grandparents car, that's my Dad standing up on the passenger side. Waddya think it is? I have seen it before and am trying to get some memory synapses firing ! The RR inspired grille is the clue. Is it a Roamer with the Rochester-Duesenberg engine? Or is it something more prosaic like a Chevrolet touring car with a RR copy grille on it? Andy Edited April 30, 2008 by Modelmartin

It is impossible to tell what's under that hood in the pic you posted. Oh, that 86-88 Omni GLHS looks like a VW but I know better.

Darrell Gwinn Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 the back looks like a Mustang Coupe, like 64-66. Is it a concept, like II or something? close enough, its an early concept mustang from '62
Nick F40 Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 hey, quick glance, I thought it was a Corvair but I saw the back and I figured. I was going to write actually 61-62 but gave the styling ques of the years. try this

Nick F40 Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 Bob, it isn't Indy so it's ok, yes it is a Formala Mazda. I took that at the Philly Auto show a couple years ago. make model and year is good but I want to know the TUNER. and please, don't use google unless we found it.
RodBurNeR Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 dunno exactly what year, toyota celica and since you can't edit out the COMPLETE decal....i see it was tuned by Fensport Performance Team. i had a freind in high school.......parents were divorced millionaire's. he "played" his parents against each other for things he wanted.....eventually he got his dad to pay for a 91 mustang 5.0 *right around the time that Vanilla Ice was rolling with the rag top down, so his hair could blow* LOL...SOOO GLAD them days are over! built by Rousche if that is how it's spelled...any ways, i just rememberd it because it had Recaro seats in it and it was FAST! (i guess that shows my age....im 34 this June)
