Isn't that either an Alpha or a McBernie Coachcraft kit? A front clip replaces the Z front end and the rest bonds to the existing. The one real departure is the remaining hatch. I love those, a small block Chevy would really make it interesting.

I remember reading about those in Kit Car mag about '90 or so. I've seen 1 Mcbernie here in San Diego completed and 1 Alpha in Tucson that I doubt ever got finished.

This was my grandparents car, that's my Dad standing up on the passenger side. Waddya think it is?

84-92 Mark II GTI VR6

I donno, It Kind of looked like a Stingray.

I'm not sold on the VR6. That car could be a diesel and no one would be the wiser. Besides, someone other than the factory would have to put that six in there anyway.

I'm not either, but it's a likely guess. Could be a 1.8T no way of telling for sure.

lol i really don't care much for foreign or anything newer than 1969.....BUT like i said before, i read a lot, i have books, magazines and internet as well as TV and movies...i pay attention to cars and since i like cars a lot.....i don't forget easily.. i did work in a body shop for 6 years, worked on Jaguar, BMW , Mercedes and hell even worked on Merkur. a We did all the body work for a foreign car lot too....the guy sold cars that came from across seas as well as foreign/domestic.

I really didn't have much fun working on those as much as the old Hudson's, chevelle's, dart's.....you name it. Boss never said what it was, just said what he needed me to do....i am the one that didn't feel right working on it unless i knew what year, make and model etc...so i would go home and tell the wife what i worked on that day...just tends to stick with ya! I ADMIT....there is a ton of newer cars on the street that i have to look for a script to recognize what it is.....they are really looking the same these days.

that one looks like a 91 VW Golf mkII GTi and 16valves inline 4cylinder

I have seen it before and am trying to get some memory synapses firing ! The RR inspired grille is the clue. Is it a Roamer with the Rochester-Duesenberg engine? Or is it something more prosaic like a Chevrolet touring car with a RR copy grille on it?

You really know what's under that hood, huh? I'm not gonna guess unless I already know the car. It is impossible to tell what's under that hood in the pic you posted.

Oh, that 86-88 Omni GLHS looks like a VW but I know better. ;)

dunno exactly what year, toyota celica and since you can't edit out the COMPLETE decal....i see it was tuned by Fensport Performance Team.

i had a freind in high school.......parents were divorced millionaire's. he "played" his parents against each other for things he wanted.....eventually he got his dad to pay for a 91 mustang 5.0 *right around the time that Vanilla Ice was rolling with the rag top down, so his hair could blow* LOL...SOOO GLAD them days are over! built by Rousche if that is how it's spelled...any ways, i just rememberd it because it had Recaro seats in it and it was FAST! (i guess that shows my age....im 34 this June)
