CoventryClimaxFlyer.jpg

is it the red firehose thing? I guess the guys in Coventry could make anything fast.

The little roadster in my post does have that british look. The maker was an arch-rival of MG on the track a few decades earlier.

Try this on for size. ;)

calhj.jpg

a one off kit car an a triunph spitfire chassis.

nobody is close on the red roadster, hint: only 6 made. powered by ubiquitous 1100 coventry-climax.

You're warm, but it's not based off a Spitfire chassis and it's not a one off.

Okay the red thing is a Kieft Sport, and it's British.

Cal, that looks a lot like one of the last Opel GTs, tha rear end has those GM style tailights.

or it could be a '55 Kieft 1100 Speedster

Same thing I think, I am not sure Kieft had specific designations. It's the car that ran in the small displacement class at LeMans and 12hrs of Sebring 1955.

It's not GM, but is powered by a SBC.

NickF40, I forgot about that one. Is it a Skoda? Is the last race car an Essex? Like a '30?

I think Nick's is a Vauxhall. It kinda looks like an Opel GT but it's RHD.... Vauxhalls are supposed to be the RHD Opels. :D:D

It's really a guess.... I haven't a clue. :D

You know.... Looking at that badge, I think it looks like a Lotus. Maybe a prototype........

The shape of the Lotus badge is upside down compared to this one. So it's not a Lotus, I think Nick also confirmed that.

The closest thing I could even come up with that looked even in the realm of the wedgie was a Sabb Sonett, of which there are a number of prototypes, but I haven't a clue.
