CAL Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 OK, tell me what the wedgie thing is (we called 'em melvins when I was a kid) and I'll tell you what the TD lookalike is. I wish I knew what the wedgie thing was. Some obscure prototype that apparently only two people in the world know of. We still have mine, too. That nobody will ever get either.
Guest zebm1 Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Well Cal's car has a one-piece fiberglas front end,,,, now where did I see side slits like those.....hmmmmm
sfhess Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 I don't Think it's a Morgan, it looks more like a TD. Try this on for size. It's a Fiberfab Jamaican. A kit car that was made for a variety of Chassis. Sports Car Graphic built a VW-based one that was detailed in several articles back in 1969. Fiberfab's ads were famous for featuring elegant, voluptuous women.

This one is actaully a Healey-Jamacian with a 327 SBC. BTW Fiberfab is still around building cars and other assorted fiberglass goodies. I don't see the girls too much anymore.
CAL Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Let's see ifn I can stump yall with thisun...... Okay cartoon cars are not allowed they have to be real

samdiego Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 (edited) I was gonna say fiberfab but I thought it was a valkyrie. For some reason I didn't think it was a kit car enough to commit. In afterthought it's pretty obvious. Now hows about mine? Edited May 16, 2008 by samdiego
Modelmartin Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Howdy Zeb, Glad to see you are back on the forum. Me not so much lately - kinda busy. By the way I like the pics you put up of the 1970 Vauxhall SRV concept car. That is a good looking car. I like the way you snuck that in after everybody was just talking about Vauxhalls. Here's one for you to guess at. Later, Andy Martin
Modellpularn Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 try this, I know what it is, a Rootes Asp - "sporting version of the Hillman Imp"

CAL Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 (edited) This is kind of cool, but what is it? Edited May 17, 2008 by CAL
Guest zebm1 Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Hiya Andy, actually it's a 1974, but what's a few years between foggy memories. Guess I'm a gonna have ta get REAL sneaky now. BTW Andy, what's tha status on the Maser Birdcage? Name this Tune....

CAL Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 ahaaa, my man, there you go that's it, you nailed it! see Chris I thought you would have gotten this! its a Chrysler product probably my weakest subject.
Modelmartin Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 This is kind of cool, but what is it? Is that another GAZ? Gregg Kluck posted one earlier in this thread.
Nick F40 Posted May 17, 2008 Author Posted May 17, 2008 ok Zebs are still up. try this on for size try year too
CAL Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 So Andy's post #665 is a Brit car...... I would say. RHD and the sign is in english.
Modellpularn Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Howdy Zeb, Glad to see you are back on the forum. Me not so much lately - kinda busy. Here's one for you to guess at. Later, Andy Martin Hey, I found this one as well! Knew it was familiar.... I have a relative who's got a Hillman wagon, and this one looks familiar, but it's a Singer Vouge, circa 1966!
Modellpularn Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 I've seen that grill before, just can't place it at the moment. Good job on the Asp. Thanks, I just stumbled upon it, when I was on a Hillman page.....
samdiego Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) That's a coincidence, mine is a Singer too. It's a '52 4AD Roadster, in Jamaica, driven by Katherine Hepburn. Edited May 18, 2008 by samdiego
Nick F40 Posted May 18, 2008 Author Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) ok Zebs are still up. try this on for size try year too since this one's small I like Hillmans, ever since this guy at the hillclimbs showed me his Imp, that white one I posted. Edited May 18, 2008 by Nick F40
