dub Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 70-75 Porsche 914 with a slant nose conversion. Can't see the motor but, I have seen everything from a flat 6 to a V8 and even a rotary turbo in those. Only real problem with those(besides rust), is the drive train of a type 4 VW does not a sports car make in a car as heavy as they are. They out handled the 911 by a long shot. Just didn't have any snot to pull 'em around the corners!
Nick F40 Posted October 13, 2008 Author Posted October 13, 2008 ok.....extra info...SWEET! you post one up!
RadRidesByDan Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Ok!!!! here goes.....year make and model
RadRidesByDan Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 1954 Buick Wildcat II Motorama show car. Hit the nail on the head......very good.....your turn to post bro.
84vanagon Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 This car was shown at two major car shows, in two different years, with two different names:

84vanagon Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 It looks italian, specific Fiat to me Very close. Italian body, very unusual American chassis.
dub Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) 1968 Checker Ghia/Centurion. This was a tough one! Edited October 14, 2008 by dub
84vanagon Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 1968 Checker Ghia/Centurion. This was a tough one! Very good! 1968 Turin auto show as the Checker Ghia or Checker Centurion, 1969 show as the Ghia Centurion.
RadRidesByDan Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Ok.....let see how this one does. You know what I like about this car.....down under that sporty white with blue sporty paint job, there lies the heart of a beast...A 302 Cleveland. Make , Model , and year....
Olle F Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 1978 Aussie Ford Falcon Cobra XC Same type of car as in "Mad Max", right?
CAL Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Same type of car as in "Mad Max", right? Nope, Mad Max interceptor started life as a 73 XB GT Ford Falcon coupe.
CAL Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 How about these?) a smattering of oldies. Chevy Chevette. Probably the best looking AMC Pacer I have ever seen in my life and what, a Ford Festiva?
84vanagon Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 83 Chevrolet Chevette, 75-76 AMC Pacer (proving my thought if a Pacer is assembled right you can have a Porsche 928) , Yugo, and a 67-68 Pontiac Firebird.
BIRD67 Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 83 Chevrolet Chevette, 75-76 AMC Pacer (proving my thought if a Pacer is assembled right you can have a Porsche 928) , Yugo, and a 67-68 Pontiac Firebird. Correct! And the Engine bay pic is of a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, our motor before it was transformed.. Wanna see more pics of the Pacer?
The Creative Explorer Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Tough there shouldn't have been a side airscoop on the sides, IMHO
