This is one of those trucks that I wanted to build but just never was inspired enough to try.

Last weekend I got 'the wild hair' to try a Peterbilt 320.

Here's the rough cab made from Evergreen plastic sheet.

Here are most of scratchbuilt and modified components.

Here's the finished 320.

Is there a pic of a 1:1 in there too?

It is hard to tell.

My god, That is Awesome.

Blown away with the scratch build cab alone.

Awesome job.

Love it.

Tim, that is friggin amazing!

There is something about it that just doesn't look quite right, just like looking at a real one. Its so hard to tell if your showing pics of your model, or if its a 1:1. Whats more amazing is the speed in which you kick these things out at.

Are you gonna put a trash box on it? I would love to see that!

This the fifth scratchbuilt cab I've done.

1. KW Hustler COE

2. International Emeryville conventionals (then cast by Griffen)

3. Peterbilt 372

4. Peterbilt 362-110 (then cast by Griffen) then modified to the 90 and 63" versions

5. Peterbilt 320

As always great work and a beautiful scratch built Petercar

But I have to agree with Studioman3, that truck would look great done up in a roll-off and or a garbage truck, maybe in Waste Management colors.

That Pete looks great. Are there any books or articles about building cabs from scratch? Once I catch up on some other projects I want to makr a Mack Sanitation truck like this

Tim...

Sorry I couldn't chime in earlier....

I absolutelty "LOVE" it.

Constructing a more "vocational" truck is always up my alley.

A garbage rear loader would look great...could also be a roll-off, someone mentioned a concrete pumper...a "lugger" unit..a vaccuum truck..so many possibilities....

Let us know what you decide....
