Hello, 

I was looking for a ship or aircraft carrier to build. I only tried Amozon and Walmart (online) l could not find any. Is there a online superstore that has them. I am going to go to a hobby store and see what they got. I am looking for any and all resources. Thanks

Your best bet is to look into some of the on-line resources like Tower Hobbies, Free time Hobbies, ect. I'm a ship builder myself, and these a a few of my favorite haunts. What time frame of ship are you looking for? maybe I can steer you in the right direction.

not really sure. I brother was on the Coral sea. Ithe was a aircrafts carrier

The Coral Sea is Probably an older Revell kit. Probably somewhere in the 1/570 scale, or in that area. Not sure if anyone has reissued that kit in awhile. You may be able to find it on ebay still.

I got a resin kit for the ship I served on in the 60s. It was the USS Norfolk (DL-1) from http://freetimehobbies.com/larsenal-usa/

I haven't built it yet. Still learning the skills necessary to tackle a 1/700 scale. The kit wasn't cheap and I don't want to mess it up. The guy that runs L'arsenal is Tony Bunch. His email addy is larsenal_usa@cox.net A great guy to work with. He even sold me the stuff to convert the ship to the configuration it was when I was aboard (ASROC launcher and bigger gun mounts).
