thatz4u Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I need to know if the frames from the newer Mopar kits will go under a Jo Han 60 Plymouth wagon, without a lot of work, thanks
Jantrix Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Well the newest Mopar kits from Revell were the '67 Charger and the '70 Cuda, which had 117" and 108" inch wheel bases respectively. The '60 Plymouth Suburban Wagon had a 122" wheelbase. So even with the Charger chassis, you're gonna have to add about 5 millimeters in length.
Tom Geiger Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 It's a noble question since the Johan '60 Plymouth wagon basically has a plastic promo plate under it. Note that this was a promo and was never done as a kit until the Johan Oldies Series. There are a bunch of other old early 1960s unibody full size cars... for instance I have a 1960 Desoto coupe on my unfinished shelf. So what would work and with how much work? Are there chassis that will work, stretching is easy if you start with two kits. Or are we going to get creative using a 1/24 scale midsize chassis? Thoughts anyone? And don't worry about me... I know I'm on my own here!
