This is the first version that came out in 1984 ?(that is the date on the box).

Body wise the mods I made were I cut the wheel wells out all the way around to fit the flares,if i would not have done that,it would have looked stupid in my opinion.

I black washed the grill than smoked(tinted the chrome) and used a ford emblem that fit the oval a little better then the kit decal.

I painted the back bumper semi gloss black and put the plate on the driver side per older ref.pictures I have.

All the chrome on the truck is Bare Metal Foil (my second time foiling :))

All the decals are kit,Slixx and parts box decals ,and I went with a look from some of the earliest years of the truck.

Chassis wise it is kit with the exception of I used the shocks from the USA-1 truck for the old school vibe. The fuel tank is the kit 2 pc. unit puttied, and sanded into a 1pc.tank with JAZ decals added from Slixx.

Motor is the original Bob Glidden block, heads and valve covers.A parts box blower and the triple carb setup from the USA-1 truck. The little later trucks switched to 3 carbs instead of 2.Bob Glidden headers were used, with the original trucks kit transmission.

Interior I used black flocking ,photo etch pedals ( including a old school bigfoot gas pedal ). roll cage is out of the newer style truck with the flip front end on it.I used Pro Tech roll bar padding for added safety.

The bucket seats came from a company called "The Parts Box" out of Australia, and I painted them semi-gloss black and installed blue suede and black leather inserts in the seats.Driver has a 4 point photo etch harness from EDUARD. 2 shifters from the parts box in between the seats for the heavy duty tranny, along with a Hurst automatic shifter for regular gears.Parts box fire extinguisher with Slixx gage decals

The dash board i wanted to keep within the original trucks look instead of the same dash that is in almost all of the Ford AMT kits(of this style) so with some research I was able to find that Mr. Chandler had taken out the radio, and heater units in the original truck and replaced the hole with a Ford emblem, and a yellow T handle that I thought was maybe a parking brake or maybe even a kill switch for the motor.

If interested in seeing better interior shots ,you can go to the on the bench thread in the truck section....

Thanks again for looking ,

Thanks Mark, and yes, I will definitely check out the WB on this - not sure how I missed this before.  You had a lot of work in to this - I really like the 'old school' attention you gave it.
