Lizard Racing Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Any tips/tricks for converting a stock interior with rear seat to a competition interior without seat? How about adding the inner wheel wells without cutting them off the chassis?
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 A lot is going to depend on what type of competition. Production-based drag racing? Gassers? Road racing? Vintage stock cars? A lot of good reference material is, as usual, available by doing Google image searches.
MGL Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Plastic spoons might get you the inner fender well, specifically the deeper soup spoons if you can find them, or the spoons from Wendy's. You might need to add sheet styrene around the edge to give you the flatter curve, and on the inner flat part.
JTalmage Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 The clear/orange medicine bottles with the edges rounded off as well...
espo Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Depends on what model you're working with. If you have the Revell '57 Chevrolet 150 "Black Widow" you could either use the back half of the interior or use it as a guide to build your own out of sheet plastic.
