426-Hemi Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 -Thought someone said this "new" release '70 Challenger came with a Hemi in it? All I see is a 440 6 pack! I will mention here that I noticed that the exhaust manifolds are wrong! -I'm pleased to see the "R/T" hood instead of the T/A rendition! -I'd like to locate a few "R/T" hoods like seen here for a few builds I have! LOL

Brett Barrow Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) They're there in MG's pic: Right hand side. They're not good. Forget when they were added, it was years ago, not for this reissue. I forget if there are also heads to go with them, or just the covers. Edited November 24, 2015 by Brett Barrow
Bob Ellis Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I had posted the comparisons of the MPC Challenger and the Palmer/Lindberg Challenger. Throw in the AMT version and you have a big range. IMHO, none of the 3 are great, but maybe the AMT has the most potential. Overall detail is better. Sorry about the separate roof. The Palmer/Lindberg was actually a decent '71 Challenger that appeared to be a successful rip-off of the MPC kit. Too bad they changed it to '72-'74. Maybe you can use the body as the roof is solid. My experience mating the AMT guts to a MPC body was a major PIA. The frame and engine compartment dimensions are way different.I think I am okay at gluing the top to the body on the VP car. Seems to be the most painless option.
