Miatatom Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I've got some questions about the Paasche H packing O ring. From the picture below, it looks like it's plastic. What's it made of?Is it lacquer thinner, acrylic thinner, etc. safe? How do you know when it needs replacing?http://www.tcpglobal.com/PASH-185.html#.VlqANOJUqFI
Mike 1017 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) I have had my H for along time and never had any problems with that O ring. There is no reason to unscrew the air cap. The TCP site has a Paasche parts and accessory page and shows where that O ring goes. Edited November 29, 2015 by Mike 1017 wrong word
935k3 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) The seal is made from Teflon. They only need replaced if you are having paint pickup problems. They can be tightened or loosed by adjusting the packing nut behind it. Take the needle and the tip out of the airbrush. You feel the seal grab needle when you screw them together. The trick is to adjust so it just grabs(seals) but not to tight where it is not too hard to turn when adjusting spray pattern. Edited November 30, 2015 by 935k3
