Hello Everyone

First  of all if I am out of line here Moderators please let me know.

We have a new LHS open here in St Thomas Ontario by the name of Railway City Hobbies.  Although the store will be mostly catering to the Model Railroad crowd the owner has already started srocking some model kits and a few supplies. I spoke to him a few times and he is interested in knowing what the plastic model builders of all kinds would like to see stocked.

His contact info is as follows

Jeff Grove

Railway City Hobbies, 9 Hiawatha St, St Thomas, On, N5P 2V7

I don't know how many local guys are here on the forum but personally I think it great someone is taking a chance on opening a business, and I like the fact that I didn't have to drive 45 minutes or more the other day just to buy a bottle of glue.

Thanks for listening Guys

Michel, that's good news to hear a store is opening, when they seem to be closing.  I think a store opened in Milton, ON this year but I don't know anything about it.

Even the address fits with the main focus of the Hobby Shop. The Hiawatha was a passenger train on the Milwaukee Road and is still called such in AMTRAK.

Stopped by the new hobby shop in St. Thomas today. I met Jeff the owner and he seems like a nice guy. His stock is a little on the low side, but he only opened a month ago. The main focal point is trains, but he has die cast and kits. The store is just offf the main street ( Talbot St. ), and there is free parking at the front door or in the parking lot at the next corner. He seems quite willing to get what you need in about a week. I'm sure I'll go back.
