envious8420 Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 (edited) for some reason(i think board change) pics went wonky in this post after editing the title. Edited June 22, 2010 by envious8420
envious8420 Posted March 23, 2008 Author Posted March 23, 2008 (edited) ive been working on this since last weekend photobucket has many more pics jim Edited March 23, 2008 by envious8420
Tony T Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Nice work! Great set up, and nice details in place...the work bench and tire rack caught my eye, in particular! The models are nice, too!
envious8420 Posted March 24, 2008 Author Posted March 24, 2008 (edited) thanks tony! your dio kinda gave me the shove to start mine. heres some more from this mornings ongoing session. compressor plumbed, wired and dusted. office couch. got the idea from an episode of "trucks". scrap pile Edited March 24, 2008 by envious8420
envious8420 Posted March 24, 2008 Author Posted March 24, 2008 as i build more kits these will be rotated out and the new ones in. this is going to be more of a photo setting type deal as my builds go through different phases they will be posed in the right setting inside the shop.
envious8420 Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 hose and shop hoist. i also hung the doors on the paint booth.
envious8420 Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 yeah i "enjoy playing with my wood" according to my wife.
Tony T Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 HA! Great to have a supportive wife with a sense of humour!! The time stamp on your pictures is deceiving though...5 years off...your VCR doesn't flash 12:00 does it (Just joking with ya!) Just noticed the puddle under the hose faucet...nice touch! The dust on the compressor is cool...you almost need some hosed off by the leaky tap! I'll have to snap a couple of updates on my garage...at least the front is almost done! The inside will take some time, and you've given me some ideas to work at in the meantime!
Mal.au Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 That compressor is to cool Must admit when I looked at the first two pics I thought what the hell is that Great Job Mal
envious8420 Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 thanks, everything has to start somewhere. jim
framescr8pintoy Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 yeah the first few pics of that compressor i was thinking.. is that what i think it is. you better build a protective guard around that pulley, all you need is a scaled down guy from osha to come and shut you down for unsafe moving equipment. i like the paintbooth idea though, never thought about making a shop with one.
customcreator Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 (edited) wow, these last pics are very deceiving! Very realistic!! I wish I build cars, because I'd love to tackle a speed shop diorama. Heck, maybe I can do one anyway, and sell it to one of you guys or raffle it off or something. what scale is this thing?? Edited June 13, 2009 by customcreator
Eshaver Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Jim. the compressor is WAAAAAAAAY to large ! as for te rest of the work, well done . you posess lot of hidden talent there sir ! I really like the way you presented the Chevelle Wagon , what with it' s in progress stage . Ed Shaver
