Fabrux
I've come across this weird Ford cabover that seems to blend a W-series cab with an L-series hood, making a little snubnose thing. I've only been able to find these two pictures and they're of the same truck; this suggests to me it might be a home build?
Petetrucker07
Wow. That is odd.

Fabrux
Looking at the pictures a little closer, the bumpers are different in each one and the graphics on the front are a bit different also. The space between the cab and the wrecker body doesn't seem to be used for anything. Perhaps this truck was built as an L-series and the W-series cab came later? If I had to guess I'd say it's the same truck but the top pic shows some upgrades. In addition to the front graphics and the newer bumper the light bar on top is more modern and it has amber lights in the grille, plus spot mirrors. I can't make out anything on the door other than "York, PA". Maybe someone in that area would be able to get more info. It's a very interesting wrecker and a possible project for someone ambitious enough to do it in scale. Jim B
Well, that's different! Is that a Diamond-REO badge on the hood? Sure looks like one.

Old Buckaroo
My guess it is one of those "customizing" nightmares of the 1970's . There must of been a shortage of vans. Now dont get all bent from my comment - there was some really cool stuff during the "customizing craze" but also some Not so Good.
