Fanof69 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Love the old Mopars and this one looks great. Really love the color.
Dave Darby Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Lol nope, can't be putting no Brand-X look alike wheels on a Mopar! At least I know this one won't be rusted out within a couple years! First off, very nice build. It looks pretty sharp. All in all, I think that old MPC body is pretty accurate, Better than the newer Duster kit in that regard. If you were to kit-bash the two you'd have an excellent representation of the real thing. Anyway, I just had to chuckle at the above quote about rusting out in a couple of years. In the background of the photo below (that's a young me in the pic) you can see my brother's then TWO year old 72 Demon 340 with some pretty good rust issue developing at the bottom of the rear quarters. The similar vintage "Brand X" in the foreground looks pretty solid.... That said, I also had a 72 Demon (318) and I loved that car. Wish I had it back.
Dann Tier Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Thanks Dann. For the top, after primer of course, I sprayed on a coat of Krylon Fusion Textured paint followed by another coat of primer (Duplicolor Filler Primer) to scale down the texturing a bit. Lastly, I topped it off with coat of Krylon flat black. Thanks, Tony! it looks great!

I totally agree with you that this body is more accurate than the Duster. Looks like it was a nice Demon your brother had, it really is a shame how fast these cars developed cancer. Recently I thought I had found a Demon for sale in my area, but it turned out to be a 73 Dart Sport with a slant six cloned into a Demon. My interest waned......Thanks, Tony! it looks great! You're welcome!
