DennisT Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 New here. Second post. Trying to learn reliable sources for older style big rig kits and parts. Is, "Full Circle Hobbies," OK? Would like most to find 1:24'ish kit for 1950's Sterling, Autocar or other same vintage tractors to build Logging Trucks. So far, I see zero kits for those brand names. Mostly Pete's, KW's, etc. And later model years. AMT's Roadrunner log trailer seems to be the only starting point for a decent, correct log trailer. Thoughts, links, tips appreciated.Dennis who grew up in logging country.................
Superpeterbilt Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Most of your options are going to be in 1/25. Most of those trucks you mentioned are available from AITM. He carries a Sterling and several Autocars. There isnt really much of anything in 1/24.
Force Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 (edited) There are not much to choose from if you want 50's trucks as most of the American trucks done in styrene are 60's and 70's style, so resin casters are your only option and AITM is a good place to start.http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/kitsparts.htmlAnd the latest complete products listhttp://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/AITMcatalog4_15.pdf Edited January 3, 2016 by Force
