Yenkocamaro Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Holy cow, Mike, that thing is a MONSTER! How is your project going? Here is a cool rig Cheers, Lance
Mike77 Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 I've seen that orange Pete when I Google for truck pics. It's cool in it's own way but a bit over-the-top for my taste.I've done a little cab work on my BRBO project and I'll post an update this weekend. It's been a slow start but I have some parts coming from JT that'll help to kick it into gear.
Jim B Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Mike, that Kenworth is a beast! Now that's a work truck.I'm not so sure about that Peterbilt, though. I know Reliable Transport is known for their cool rigs, but I don't know. What's surprising is that it has New York plates on it. Up here the only thing that would be good for is a snowplow, and not a very good one.
Petetrucker07 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I've seen it in person. When I showed the 386 I drove, they unloaded it right behind our trucks. I got pics under that truck. The walking beams are HUGE.I saw another oversize transformer load from that company today. I'll post pics when PB is up again.
Mike77 Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 I worked at a nuclear power plant for 17 years and they'd bring rigs like that in to move transformers, steam generators, etc. I always though it was cool how those trucks would dwarf a road-going truck, yet the load they were pulling would dwarf them! As Tim Taylor would say...MORE POWER!!!
