935k3 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 The ACO invitation list to race at this years 24 hrs of Lemans. Four Ford GT's were invited. There will be 60 cars this versus the 56 previously. I am ready for this one.http://www.motorsport.com/all/article/?id=671807
afx Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 The Ford GT was fast at Daytona. I hope they sort out the gremlins and it is more durable at Sebring all in preparation for LeMan.
hgbben Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I was hoping that the GT's would of done better at Daytona but for being the 1st race they didn't do too bad. Being a Corvette fan, it was awesome to see the C7R's and the last hour there.
Badluck 13 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Thanks for the info!!!! huge fan of Fords involvement in this series ......even though I am a Ford man,Ben I have to agree with you that it was awesome to see the C7R doing so well, always was a fan of Pratt & Miller and Ron Fellows .....they too had a rough beginning like the GT when they first brought out the C5R and second year they were knocking on the Vipers back door and third year dominated ...... nothing like seeing these thoroughbred race cars of beauty run 24 hrs.

I was there supposed to be working but couldn't help watching as much of the race as possible
Roadrunner Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I though this was about the movie;... oops!
peter31a Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 I originally thought it was the race for antique cars sponsored by Hemmings Motor News & Coker Tire. Not that the discussion about Lemans isn't interesting just not what I was thinking when I saw the heading The Great Race.
