Hey guys, thought I would let you know that Michael's is running a 50% off coupon this week. Remember this works on clearance items, not sale items.

Also, The stores are now starting to re set their model and paint sections.

Just an FYI.

 I got mine today. It was a card type thing, not the usual sale paper.

Its good thru 4/5/08. so I will check out the one by work.

I got about 5 of them along with AC Moore coupons (also 50% off), which Michaels accepts.

Its awesome getting papers at 10:00 at night, you can grab as many as you want.

Hey Clay, I don't think you can use all 5 at the same time. you should go to a different cashier for each one and on different days of the week. I think only one per customer, per day. or something like that.

Are they dropping models, etc. too? Just from the sound of this post, they are.

What irks me to no end is that in a metropolitan area of almost 300 000 people, plus five colleges with good-sized art departments, and there isn't a SINGLE hobby shop!

I've so often wished I had a little bit of money lying around. Solve a market vacuum and possibly my employment problems in one step.

I know, but I use one and then my wife uses one ;) . I don't plan on useing them all cause I dont plan on wasting my gas to drive 45 minutes away 5 times ;)

What chris is saying is to look for a redo of Michaels Model section, not that it is going away like walmart did with theirs,

Besides Michaels is a hobby store, and it wouldnt be much of one if it didnt have models.

Clay is right, what they are doing is re-setting the model section. The clearance models are on the way out to make room for some new stuff.

A few of the things I saw on the re-set were all of the new Revell Mustangs, including the Shelby and GT-H.

Also some of Testors new Lacquers, but I am unsure of which ones.

The model line is not going away. Their will be lots of new product in a few weeks.

My local Micheal's had already reset. they got the JADA kits now. as well as some of current Revell stuff. and only four AMT kits left (one was on clearance)

Target is getting new boxes of Revell Hot Wheels snap kits. picked up a Revell 70 WOF Chevelle today with my employee discount for $9 bucks, they also had the 1/32 Fire Truck and 1963 WOF Corvette Convertible

Sure there is. The biggest, most well-stocked hobby shop in the world is right there. And it delivers to your door. It's called the internet.

PS: Hobby Lobby coupons are available on their website. You can print out as many as you like, but only one coupon per purchase is allowed, so if you want to use more than one you have to make multiple purchases.
