Smart-Resins Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Alright. My wife finally decided she wanted to work on a model. I guess she figured that was the only way to spend any time with me.Well, maybe not good, but hey at least it worked? Anyways she likes cars and trucks from the thirties. Good taste. I found one night when I was still employed right around Christmas a Rat Pack Goodguys 29 Ford PU kit at Walmart clearanced! Nice gift to her. She has been working on it very slowly, but she is doing a fine job of it. Right now it is in black primer, but it will turn Green with envy soon to match the chassis. The color is a dark metallic green. The trim and interior will be white and will bear CHROME! She is doing the full fendered thing with the convertible body. I traded to get a flat head V-8 (thanks guys on this forum). So she is getting close to finishing up her first hot rod Pick Up! Heres the mock up shot in primer and a shot of the chassis as it sits waiting final color on the body.Thanks. Jody
evilone Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 its lookin sweet now if only u could get her to put that frame and rockers in the weeds then it would be great tell here to keep up the good work
Smart-Resins Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 I would agree with ya, but she prefers the mostly stock, but slight hot rod style?? Ill tell her though, after I grab a pillow for protection.LOL. Jody
sdrodder Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 leave it like it is. You can build one more with the rocker in the weeds style unless she likes the idea.
Darrell Gwinn Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Not bad at all! Definately better than my first model.. lol
JAFFA Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Am i the only one who likes that hight stance? As a matter of fact i love the whole thing, great wheel choice.
Smart-Resins Posted April 3, 2008 Author Posted April 3, 2008 Yes, I love dem in da weeds. However I dont mind a good rod up higher. I personally just can not stand fensers what so ever unles they are cut offs in the back with bicycle in the front! Jody
RodneyBad Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Your wife Builds. 2 Thumbs up already. I love the big white walls and steel wheel look. Can't wait to see it in Green.. Awesome job so far..
