muddragger92 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I am buildin a mud truck an I was wonderin how do you get the mud to look real an not all dried out?. I have herd if you take dirt an mix it with elmers glue it shouldin dry out but havent exsperamented with it yet so what is your guys take on it?
The Fisherman Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Finally something I can help with! This is a random mix of white glue, real dirt, paint pigment powder(s), and gloss enamel paint. The pigments were simply to get the shade we wanted, and the enamel was used to keep things wet looking. To this day, people won't touch it because they think they'll get mud on them.
JTRACING Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I use concrete mix and white glue, and also artist oil painted on thick, then paint and gloss clear like future to make wet areas.
Intmd8r Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I use concrete mix and white glue, and also artist oil painted on thick, then paint and gloss clear like future to make wet areas. WOW! That is one of the best Chevy/GMC truck builds I've seen. The mud looks super realistic as well.
Lunajammer Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 That's about as good as it gets James. Bravo.
