I just finished my last coat of colour on my Chev PU. Do I lay my decals down now and then cover with gloss coat after? or can I spray 1 coat of clear first, then lay my decals down after, followed by a final coat of clear again ?

It has been 15 years since my last build and I have forgotten the procedure ! LOL !!

In my opinion that just depends on what you're trying to accomplish. When I do decals that are supposed to be "factory decals" like pin stripes on a boss 302 mustang, or side logos on a Ferrari, I do those before any clear coat, so they match perfectly with the rest of the body...

Now when it's aftermarket decals, such as sponsors, or graphics that are supposed to stick out a bit more, so you can tell they're not put on by the factory, I do those right before my final coat of clear.

That's just my $.02
