It's funny how sometimes things just seem to align perfectly and work out for you. I recently purchased AMT's '65 and '66 Riviera kits and wanted to get the '69. I found it at a local shop for $45 and also found a few on eBay for various prices. I occasionally check Amazon Warehouse Deals for good prices on kits, and scored a damaged box Aoshima chopper kit for much much less than I had seen it on other sites. I popped over today, checked for model kits, and lo and behold - an AMT '69 Riviera in damaged box for $21. How weird is that?? It was one of maybe 3 or 4 car kits currently available (there is a Surfite kit for about $20 also there).

I have bought other items through Warehouse Deals. They're almost always damaged box items and in each instance, the contents themselves were absolutely fine. I recommend it to all of you as another option when looking for new kits!

I've been an Amazon prime member for over ten years and have not heard of "warehouse deals".

Great you got what you were looking for.

Always like to see a cool Riviera, how are you going to build it?

Stock, Custom or what?

I haven't decided on how I'll build it yet. As for warehouse deals, just go to the main Amazon page and enter Warehouse Deals into the search. It will take you to them and then you can search sub categories for what you want. Naturally, selection is limited to a small amount of items, but changes regularly.

Interesting, but I'm not sure how much one could save unless you have Prime or spend more than $49. The kits I looked at seem to be about around $5 cheaper than ebay, but here in glorious Kalifornia we are stuck with almost 10% sales tax from Amazon which doesn't apply to ebay, at least with things Ive purchased. It does look like a possible alternative though. Thanks for sharing this.

Not every deal is great, but you can sometimes find a good one. I do have a Prime membership and yes, it helps.
