W-409 Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 WOW! I thought those were pictures of your 1:1 inspiration but then I realized that it has to be a model. Very nice work with it overall. That black paint job is flawless and sharp details like that Lincoln text on the hood really make it stand out. Plus that it's nice to see a real rare kit like this built this well. Nice job.
Chuck Most Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Gorgeous- the suicide door Connies were as close to perfect as American luxury cars ever got. Eventually I'd like to fill in the gaps in my '61-'69 Connie collection- I JUST need a '61, '63, '64, '66, '67, and '68 and I'll be all set. That custom version on the box top kinda looks like an Edsel update. Call me weird, but I do rather like it. That being said I'm glad you went with a factory stock build style.
6bblbird Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Hi Al !I too got fooled into thinking the first photo was of a 1:1 car! You know that you've nailed it when so many builders get fooled!WF
